What this is
CoverageMath is a small, independent site of free health-insurance decision calculators. We focus on the formula-driven choices where a clear, cited calculation genuinely helps: how big your ACA subsidy is, whether COBRA or a Marketplace plan is cheaper, how the self-employed health insurance deduction interacts with your subsidy, and whether your income triggers a Medicare surcharge.
Who it's for
Anyone weighing a coverage decision — people shopping the Marketplace during open enrollment, workers who just lost employer coverage, the self-employed, and people approaching Medicare. You don't need to know what "MAGI" or "SLCSP" means; every page explains its terms in plain language.
How we make money
At launch, we don't. The site is free, runs entirely in your browser, and collects nothing. We may add unobtrusive, clearly-labeled display advertising later. We will not turn this into a lead-capture funnel that sells your information to insurance agents — that's precisely the thing we built CoverageMath to avoid.
