Your calculator inputs stay in your browser
Every CoverageMath calculator runs entirely on your own device. The income, household, age, and premium figures you type are used only to compute your result locally. We do not send them to a server, we do not store them, and we do not require an account or email address.
What we do collect
The site is hosted as static files. Standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and how the site performs. This measures page-level usage only; it never receives the income, household, age, or premium figures you type into a calculator (those are computed on your device and are never sent anywhere). Google sets its own cookies and may use a truncated IP address; see Google's Privacy Policy. We also show ads from Google AdSense on our calculator and home pages — see Advertising below.
Local storage
We use your browser's local storage for one small convenience: remembering whether you prefer the light or dark theme. That preference stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense on our home page and calculator pages to keep CoverageMath free. We do not place ads on our policy and reference pages (privacy, disclaimer, editorial policy, about, methodology). Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — depending on your settings — may personalize ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. As with our analytics, advertising never receives the income, household, age, or premium figures you enter into a calculator; those stay on your device. You can review and turn off ad personalization at Google My Ad Center, and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third parties
We load a web font from Google Fonts, use Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement, and show Google AdSense ads (both described above) — all governed by Google's privacy policy. Following any link to a government site (IRS, HealthCare.gov, CMS, SSA) or other third party takes you to a site governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.
